Quiet days

Feb 12
Today was a quiet day, it was overcast and raining on and off all day, although the temperature got to 20 degrees.  We spent the day driving/wandering around Marbella, getting lost, driving down impossibly narrow streets packed with cars.  When the weather cooperates, we will do it on foot, getting a more intimate look at the place.

Just another chilled day around the apartment, planning some future roadtrips.

We are having trouble getting motivated to go out and do things.  The weather has been reasonably good, about 16 degrees every day, but overcast, some mild rain from time to time.  Bill is fighting a traveller's head cold.  Today we didn't venture out until we went for supper.

Went to a little local farmer's market set up near to the apartment. I bought this massive tomato that was oh so good eating.  Just a tiny bit of salt was all that was needed.  Also, all my life, I have never been too keen on olives, I always found them too salty and a little bit bitter.  Well that has all changed now.   We were at a little restaurant having coffee and they placed a plate of olives on the table.  I tried one, and oh my god, they were good, now I can't get enough of the little beasties.  The change, is that these do not have a lot of salt, they are just simple Aceitunas Manzanilla Verdes (olives) con huesos (with pits).

Planning is underway for some short trips locally and at least 3 possibly four extended (overnight) road trips.
My behemoth oh so delicious tomato (that plate is about 7 1/2" long)

Companion pomegranate, equally large
